My fav show and band of all time, I'm so painfully obsessed with them, they're all I talk about

Now, let me tell you the story of how I got into this band. For this we have to go all the way back to 2020 quarantine and I'm at my grandparents house. They're going through movies and I see Rocketman on there and I was like omg I lowkey wanna watch that... so we did. From watching that I created my two favorite oc's of all time and also got into older and classic music. I promise this is all related.

A few months later I make a spotify playlist, my old hag playlist, and added whatever was suggested to me, one of the songs being I'm a Believer. I did NOT get into The Monkees because of Shrek, thank you very much. Slighlty off topic but I went to a Micky concert in October and that man has BEEF with Shrek because of this song.

Anways, I would play that playlist and hear that song, not thinking too much of it. Jump to late January of 2024 I'm going through that playlist looking for bands with 4 members so I could lookup photos of them to use as references for the characters I mentioned earlier. I see The Monkees and I look them up and find out they were made for a tv show. This is the exact message I sent into my discord channel when I found out: WHAT DO YOU MEAN THE MONKEES WERE MADE FOR TV. Then a few days later on February 8th I started watching the show and the rest is history. I love saying the rest is history.

I know so many odd things about this group, like recently I learned that when Peter was younger he was mistaken for a little german boy because he spoke German and translated for his mom. He also nearly died when he lived in Germany as a little kid after running through a glass door and cut an artery while playing with his brother, Nick. I think about this a lot for some reason.
